October 9,10,11,12, 2008

Hours of Work - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Sunday Hours - 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Blue Ridge Parkway – Chargers and ReChargers Task Force: Construction starts on the MST section between US 421 south along the Blue Ridge Parkway on the above dates. Meet at 8:00 AM just south of US-421. Look for orange “MST WORK” sign and vehicles parked on shoulder of the parkway. Some tools are provided but you may bring loppers, rakes and hand bow saws if you have them. Bring plenty of water, sturdy work boots, gloves, suitable clothing and raingear.  Lunch, energy snacks and a light day pack with first aid kit may also be helpful.  The worksite is near the parkway so access to your vehicle should be easy and nearby.  For questions contact Dave Johnson at djohnson6146@charter.net or 828-260-6146, you must RSVP. The work site is between US-421 and milepost 276.4 (12 miles east of Boone) and south on the Parkway to Bamboo Rod (at milepost 285.5) Future workdays will be posted at this website page.
