Marion, NC - The FMST has designated the MST from the North Fork of the Catawba bridge to the Pinnacle (entrance to Linville Gorge). This will also include the 200 foot bridge across the North Fork of the Catawba River. This 10.5 mile section has been an FMST project since the Fall of 1999. This trail designation will link 240 continuous miles of natural surface hiking trail for the MST.
